NEW M40X CARBON FIBRE – ELEVATING THE DOGMA TO A WHOLE NEW PLAIN

The DOGMA F’s brand new M40X carbon fiber is the result of countless hours of testing on our X-Light models, and on INEOS Grenadiers’ bikes. This groundbreaking lay-up has an exceptional tensile module that has enabled us to take lateral stiffness to the next level.

MARGINAL GAINS – EVERY DETAIL MATTERS

Every shape, every detail, every new line on the DOGMA F has been designed to reduce the CdA by 0.2%. We achieved that by making a series of minor yet important improvements, all developed using the latest Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, and countless hours in the wind tunnel.

DOWN TUBE - IMPROVED AERO PENETRATION

The down tube has been completely redesigned to reduce its thickness, improving the frontal aerodynamic performance of the frame and reducing overall drag.

NEW AERO-KEEL BOTTOM BRACKET

The down tube has also been rotated by 3.5° to create a keel shape that improves the aerodynamic performance of the bottom bracket area by 1.2%.

    Graham and the crew at PedalHeaven, collaborated with me to build a 2025 Dogma F frame set in Luxter Blue. The build was with Zipp 303S wheels, 52/36T (34T cassette) Ultegra Di2 group set and Conti 5000s (30mm) tyres. Rest were Pinarello’s own MOST components. My observations: Plus (+) 1. Very stiff (the BB geometry helps) and agile in riding, with quick acceleration and balanced cornering. 2. ⁠Overall position on the bike is great and I think people are harsh when they say this is a racing bike for the pros – I am in my 50s and not as fit or as strong as I used to be and I’m spending more time on the drops on this bike than any other bike I had in the last decade (Cannondale, BMC, Specialized, Canyon) – 1st time in years that I felt my back getting cold! Overall, very comfortable. 3. ⁠I’ve hit it hard around corners and it responds well and quickly, much faster than any of the bikes I currently have - wide flare on the drops helps. 4. ⁠The chosen gearing is perfect as I do big climbs and climbing trips. 5. ⁠I don’t feel that I am losing on comfort on the bike anywhere. I’m using 30mm tubeless tyres with circa 65 PSI front, 66 PSI back and still feels I can go lower, for a ‘plusher’ ride. 6. Details that I’ve not seen on reviews for this bike: the MOST⁠ saddle rear bolt holes are perfect to put on a light/camera mount. The MOST mount needs to be long enough to fit your bike computer, especially if it is a bigger one (I have a Garmin 1040). There are aftermarket ones which are cheaper. Also, good bolt position for the bottle holders. Some bike manufacturers put the holders too low or high. This is fine for the pros, but for us normal folks, it makes a difference when you go to get a quick drink, before the car which is close to you, overtakes you! 7. ⁠The colour is magnificent, and I suggest you take on PedalHeaven’s advice to put some ceramic coating on; it does make a difference! Minus (-) 1. The handlebar still needs a bit of work I think from Pinarello – they have a range of sizes and configurations, and it is very aero, but do not see where the value add is to justify such a high cost in my opinion. 2. ⁠the whole bike swings massively when riding out of saddle. You get used to it but can feel a bit strange until you do. 3. ⁠It climbs well but was expecting a bit more from a <8kg bike (with my spec as it can be a <7kg bike with higher end specs). Saying that, pedalling dynamics play a role plus I will say again that I am not as fit as I used to be! 4. ⁠Was expecting to hit descends (even) faster - super fun but when I pushed it hard, it needed to do quite a bit of correction to respond. Appreciate the wheels play a role as I’ve mid-depth wheels, but they have helped me on windy days when gusty. 5. Lack of ‘standardisation’ – this is a complaint I have from most bike manufacturers, not just Pinarello: bolts are either T20 or T25 hex – why? The seat post shape is very awkward. I’ve ridden many aero, racing, TT bikes and have not seen such a weird shape before. The evidence is that all the rubber fittings I have for aero seatposts for lights do not fit! 6. Last, cost. Yes, it’s a super bike, the design is flawless, the carbon and materials used are absolutely cutting edge. Yes, you get the best components. I managed to drop the cost significantly as I did a custom build. BUT, it is still extremely expensive. In an era where tech is becoming cheaper and easier to implement, bike manufacturers need to lower their prices, end of. And that’s it really! Overall, the (+) make huge difference in the riding experience and the (-) are just me complaining (except the cost comment!). Last, but not least, a HUGE thank you to Graham and the PedalHeaven crew: top customer service, extremely professional bike build and very friendly, always willing to provide advice but also listen to suggestions, and worked really hard to get me the components I needed, very quickly at the best value, thanks so much all!
